Srinagar, Jun 24 : Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labroo, on Wednesday said the administration has completed all preparations to ensure the smooth conduct of both the Amarnath Yatra and Muharram processions in the city, asserting that full security arrangements are in place in coordination with the civil and police administrations.
“We have done that preparation and after completing that, we will get the processions of Yatra and Muharram done in Srinagar seamlessly, smoothly, without any issue, with full security in coordination with civil and police administration,” Labroo told news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS).
The DC’s remarks came as the administration continues to fine-tune facilities at the Yatra Transit Camp including accommodation, drinking water, sanitation, healthcare, and security arrangements for the annual pilgrimage and the ensuing peaceful Muharram observances.
There is nothing to appeal as all stakeholders are working together he said.(KNS)
