Baramulla, Aug 15 : Kashmir News Service (KNS) correspondent Sagar Firdous was felicitated by the Jammu and Kashmir administration on Saturday for his distinguished contributions to journalism.
The award was presented by Cabinet Minister Javid Dar during the 80th Independence Day celebrations held in Baramulla.
The ceremony witnessed the presence of civil and police officials, as well as scores of media personnel.
Sagar Firdous was recognised for his outstanding work in the field of journalism, particularly for his consistent coverage of developmental activities and grassroots issues in the Kashmir Valley.
Minister Dar lauded the journalist’s commitment to ethical reporting and his role in presenting the region’s narrative to the wider world. “Journalists like Sagar Firdous are the bridge between the administration and the people. Their work strengthens democracy,” the minister said. (KNS)
