Hyderabad, Oct 09 : The Department of Tourism, Jammu and Kashmir, is showcasing the Union Territory’s rich and diverse tourism potential at the Travel and Tourism Fair (TTF) Hyderabad 2026, where Jammu and Kashmir is participating as the Partner State. The initiative aims to strengthen tourism ties with southern India and attract a greater number of visitors from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and neighbouring regions.

The three-day tourism fair was jointly inaugurated by Ministerof Tourism Govt of Telangana Shri Jupally Krishna Rao along with Shri Nasir Aslam Wani, Advisor to the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, who attended the ceremony as the Guest of Honour. Prominent representatives of the national travel and tourism industry were also present on the occasion.

Through a specially curated pavilion and a comprehensive promotional campaign, Jammu and Kashmir Tourism is highlighting the region’s distinctive tourism offerings, including its breathtaking landscapes, rich cultural traditions, spiritual and heritage destinations, and lesser-explored tourist locations. The participation seeks to position Jammu and Kashmir as a year-round destination while expanding its reach among key tourism markets in southern India.

A major focus of the promotional initiative is the forthcoming Kashmir Marathon, alongside a range of customised travel experiences designed for the upcoming winter and spring tourism seasons. The department is also showcasing premium hospitality facilities, curated holiday packages and emerging destinations to encourage diversified travel experiences across the Union Territory.

A high-level delegation from Jammu and Kashmir is leading the state’s participation under the leadership of Advisor to the Chief Minister, Shri Nasir Aslam Wani. The delegation comprises Shri Vikas Gupta, Director of Tourism, Jammu; Shri Vishal Sadothra, Assistant Director of Tourism, Jammu; and Shri Mohammad Sajid Kirmani, Assistant Tourist Officer, Hyderabad.

Further strengthening the department’s business outreach, around 30 prominent representatives from various travel and tourism associations of Jammu and Kashmir are participating in the three-day event. The delegates are engaging with travel operators, destination management companies and other industry stakeholders through business-to-business (B2B) meetings, networking sessions, industry discussions and the promotion of customised tourism packages and hospitality properties.

Jammu and Kashmir’s participation as Partner State at TTF Hyderabad 2026 reflects the Department of Tourism’s continued efforts to expand market outreach, foster strategic partnerships with the travel trade, and promote the Union Territory’s tourism potential to a wider domestic audience. The initiative is expected to facilitate stronger industry collaboration and create new opportunities for tourism-related growth and investment. (KNS)
