Srinagar, Oct 10 : The Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) on Saturday accorded a farewell to Commissioner Faz Lul Haseeb, IAS, recognising his contributions to municipal administration, civic infrastructure and public service delivery during his tenure.
The farewell function, held at the SMC headquarters, was attended by senior officers of the Corporation, who acknowledged Haseeb’s administrative leadership and efforts towards strengthening municipal governance in Srinagar.
Speaking on the occasion, the officers appreciated his role in improving municipal services, advancing urban infrastructure initiatives and strengthening coordination among different wings of the Corporation.
They said his tenure was marked by efforts to improve the functioning of the civic body, enhance service delivery and address issues concerning municipal administration.
The officers also acknowledged his professional approach, administrative guidance and commitment to public service.
Addressing the gathering, Haseeb expressed gratitude to the officers and staff of the Corporation for their cooperation and support during his tenure.
He said the collective efforts of the municipal administration had been instrumental in carrying forward initiatives aimed at improving civic amenities and strengthening urban governance.
Haseeb expressed confidence that the Corporation would continue working towards efficient delivery of municipal services, improvement of urban infrastructure and better civic facilities for Srinagar residents.
Among those present were Joint Commissioner (Administration) Nuzhat Qureshi, JKAS; Joint Commissioner Suhail Ul Islam, JKAS; Joint Commissioner (Works) Hamid Iqbal Mir; Secretary SMC Tahir Ahmad, JKAS; Rafiq Ahmad Shah, JKAS; Health Officer Dr Fauzia Habib; and Superintending Engineer, City Drainage Circle, Sajad Ahmad Kawoosa.
Other senior officers and officials of the Corporation also attended the function.
The SMC placed on record its appreciation for Haseeb’s services and contributions to the Corporation and extended its best wishes for his future assignments.
The Corporation expressed confidence that he would continue contributing to public administration in his subsequent responsibilities. (KNS)
