Urges District Admin to expedite the additional land transfer process for the commencement of work.

Baramulla, June 12: In a move towards strengthening the healthcare infrastructure in the district, the Chairperson District Development Council (DDC) Baramulla, Safina Beigh, today conducted an extensive site visit of the proposed Ayurvedic Medical College and Associated Hospital at Kanispora, Baramulla.

The chairperson DDC was accompanied by the Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla and other officers during the site visit.

During the visit the Chairperson stressed that the establishment of the Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital would not only augment the existing health infrastructure in the district but also promote alternative and traditional systems of medicine.

The Chairperson further informed that a significant portion of land for the project has already been formally transferred to the AYUSH department and more land was identified to facilitate the seamless construction and expansion of the proposed medical college and hospital.

Safina Beigh urged the district administration to fast-track the remaining land transfer process and promptly address any existing bottlenecks to ensure that construction work on the hospital can commence at the earliest.

She added that the project, once completed, will provide the people of Baramulla and adjoining areas access to quality Ayurvedic treatment, education, and wellness services.

“This institution holds great promise for the people of Baramulla. It is essential that we do not lose time in bringing this facility to life, especially given the growing demand for traditional and holistic healthcare,” she said.

She reiterated her commitment to monitoring the progress closely and extending all possible support from the District Development Council in resolving any issues that may arise during execution.
