IGP Kashmir, DC Srinagar Visit Gurdwara Chatti Patshahi on Guru Nanak Jayanti

Srinagar, Nov 5 : On the occasion of Guru Nanak Dev Jayanti, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir, V.K. Birdi, and Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labroo, visited Gurdwara Chatti Patshahi in Srinagar to offer prayers.

Speaking at the Gurdwara,as per KNS Correspondent, IGP Birdi said he had come to the Guru’s sanctum to offer prayers and wish for peace, tranquility, and prosperity across the region.

DC Srinagar Akshay Labroo, extending greetings on behalf of the district administration, conveyed wishes to the Sikh community on Guru Nanak Dev Jayanti.

He said the administration is committed to working closely with the Gurdwara committee to enhance, preserve, and promote the spiritual and historical significance of the shrine.

Gurdwara Chatti Patshahi, located in Srinagar’s Rainawari area, is one of the most significant Sikh religious sites in Kashmir and is associated with the sixth Sikh Guru, Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji.

Devotees thronged the shrine throughout the day to pay their respects and participate in prayers.(KNS).
