Srinagar, Mar 11 : Divisional Commissioner of Kashmir on Wednesday assured that the valley has adequate reserves of petrol, diesel, and LPG to last for over a fortnight.

Speaking to news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) Divisional Commissioner confirmed that the inventory of petrol and diesel stands at more than 15 days. He further detailed that the Food and Civil Supplies Department has reported LPG stocks sufficient for nearly 13 days, ensuring the supply of essential commodities remains uninterrupted.

“We have stock of petrol and diesel for more than 15 days. The stock position is being constantly monitored by a control room. There is no need to panic at this time,” Garg stated.

Addressing concerns over misinformation, the Divisional Commissioner urged the public to rely only on official communications. “We should be aware of any news or fake information that is circulating,” he cautioned.

The administration has also called for public cooperation in curbing hoarding and black marketing. Citizens can lodge complaints regarding any malpractice at the District Control Room or the 24×7 Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) helpline. Details of the helpline are available on the official X handle, and strict action will be taken against offenders, the Commissioner added. (KNS)
