Srinagar, Mar 16 : Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad on Monday credited the “triple shift” efforts of his administration for the creation and revival of the Tulip Garden and the historic Badamwari Garden in Srinagar, asserting that the projects were delivered against all odds
In a post on social media, Azad, as per news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) reflected on the developmental push given to the valley’s tourism infrastructure during his tenure. “Both gardens were created and revived in triple shifts, something many thought impossible, but we made it happen,” the Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) chairman said.
The veteran leader highlighted the long-term economic and cultural impact of the two projects, stating that they have become major global attractions. “Today, tourists from across the globe visit to witness the beauty of Tulip Garden and Badamwari Garden, bringing pride to Kashmir and boosting the local economy,” he added.
Notably, The Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden, Asia’s largest garden was thrown open for public on Monday. (KNS)
