Srinagar, Jun 5: National Conference president and former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Dr. Farooq Abdullah on Friday said the fate of Article 370 is inextricably linked with the people of Kashmir, vowing to continue his political fight.

“The day we are buried, Kashmir will be buried. Article 370 will be buried,” the NC President told news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS).

The veteran leader’s remarks come days after the party announced it will hold a protest in New Delhi on the first day of Parliament’s upcoming Monsoon Session, pressing for the restoration of Jammu and Kashmir’s statehood and constitutional guarantees.

Regarding the proposed meeting of the opposition INDIA bloc scheduled for June 8, Dr. Farooq Abdullah confirmed his party’s participation.

“Omar and I—one of us will go. Obviously, we are part of that. We will be there,” the National Conference president said. (KNS)
