Srinagar, Jun 27 : Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday said this year’s Amarnath Yatra has seen “unprecedented cooperation” from all stakeholders, including religious bodies, political parties, elected representatives, and district administrations.

Addressing reporters after a high-level review meeting here, LG Sinha as per news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) said the interactions with various sections have been “quite positive” and that all have reaffirmed their commitment to the smooth conduct of the annual pilgrimage.

“The administration, along with the Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board, has significantly strengthened security arrangements and other essential facilities,” LG Sinha said.

He made a fervent appeal to devotees across the country to undertake the pilgrimage with full confidence.

“I appeal to the pilgrims from across the nation to come and participate in this holy Yatra. The people of Jammu and Kashmir are fully prepared to welcome and facilitate them,” the LG added.

The annual Amarnath Yatra, which attracts lakhs of pilgrims from across the country, is scheduled to first week of July. (KNS)
