Srinagar, Aug 4 The Department of Tourism, Jammu & Kashmir, will participate in the Travel & Tourism Fair (TTF) Ahmedabad 2026, one of India’s oldest and largest B2B travel trade exhibitions, scheduled to be held from August 6 to 8 at the Mahatma Mandir Convention & Exhibition Centre, Gandhinagar.
TTF serves as a premier platform for interaction among State Tourism Departments, tour operators, travel agents, destination management companies, hoteliers, airlines, and other stakeholders of the travel and hospitality industry. The event is expected to attract more than 900 exhibitors, participants from 30-plus countries, 25-plus Indian States and Union Territories, and over 12,500 trade visitors.
Officials said the participation will provide Jammu & Kashmir with an opportunity to showcase its diverse tourism offerings, including leisure, adventure, pilgrimage, heritage, wellness, golf, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions), and rural tourism. The Department will also promote upcoming tourism initiatives, festivals, and flagship events while engaging with travel trade stakeholders from Western India.
The Department aims to strengthen partnerships with tour operators, travel agents, and destination management companies, generate new business leads, and enhance the visibility of Jammu & Kashmir as a premier all-season tourism destination. The exhibition, being held ahead of the festive and winter travel season, is considered a strategic platform for destination marketing and business development.
Speaking to KNS, the Director Tourism Syed Qamar Sajjad said that Jammu & Kashmir has consistently represented India’s rich cultural and natural heritage across national and international tourism platforms.
“Kashmiris represent the country wherever they go. Through our participation in events like TTF Ahmedabad, we not only promote Jammu & Kashmir as a world-class tourism destination but also showcase India’s hospitality, culture, and diversity to the wider travel industry,” the Director said.
Officials expressed confidence that participation in TTF Ahmedabad 2026 will contribute significantly to destination promotion, strengthen business linkages with the travel trade, and help increase tourist arrivals from Western India, one of the country’s fastest-growing outbound travel markets.(KNS)
