Srinagar, Oct 14 : The new inpatient department (IPD) block at SKIMS Medical College is scheduled to be inaugurated on December 5, with Director SKIMS Prof. M. Ashraf Ganie on Wednesday reviewing the progress of construction and directing officials to complete the remaining works within the stipulated timeframe.

During a visit to the medical college, Prof. Ganie inspected ongoing infrastructure projects and held discussions with engineering and administrative officials regarding their progress.

He directed the concerned teams to ensure timely completion of the projects without compromising quality standards.

The Director also reviewed patient care services and the hospital’s preparedness for the approaching winter season.

He visited several wards and interacted with patients to obtain feedback on treatment facilities and the quality of services being provided.

Prof. Ganie also held discussions with doctors, nursing personnel and other hospital staff to assess the functioning of various departments.

Reviewing winter arrangements, he examined heating facilities, cleanliness and other essential services, stressing the need to ensure adequate facilities for patients and attendants during the colder months.

He directed the hospital administration to address shortcomings in advance to prevent disruptions in patient care during winter.

The Director was accompanied by the Principal of SKIMS Medical College, Medical Superintendent, engineering personnel and other hospital officials.(KNS)
