Srinagar, June 27 : Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee President and MLA Shaltang, Tariq Hamid Karra, on Friday said that the rejoining of former ministers Taj Mohiuddin and Ghulam Mohammad Saroori will strengthen Congress both internally and externally. Many individuals who have either left Congress or joined other parties are still in touch with us.

Talking to the media, Karra said that, as far as we are concerned, we believe they hold considerable influence in their respective areas — not just locally but also in surrounding regions. We are fully confident in fact, certain that their inclusion will strengthen Congress. Many individuals who have either left Congress or joined other parties are still in touch with us to join.

He also said that they have a proper process and procedure for evaluating leadersSome individuals are already in the pipeline through this process, and many more are in contact with us and are expected to join the party in the future.

“When leaders join, they don’t come alone their workers and their local influence come with them. If one person joins, he doesn’t come by himself; his entire area of influence comes along,” he said.

“The joining of Taj Sahib or Saroori Sahib doesn’t mean they have joined individually. They have a strong local presence, and you will see it yourself when we organize programs in their areas you’ll witness their influence firsthand. After leaving the Congress, they formed another organization, and today they openly admitted that leaving Congress was a mistake and they even apologized for it,” he added. (KNS)
