Srinagar, Oct 9 : Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board Chairperson and BJP leader Darakhshan Andrabi said on Thursday that she is confident people in Budgam and Nagrota will vote for development in the upcoming bypolls.
Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Andrabi said the BJP’s central election team is finalizing candidates for both constituencies. “Our election team and committee will decide today who our candidates will be. The central team is here, and all key discussions are happening under their supervision,” she said.
BJP’s focus on development, peace, and progress, crediting the party’s consistent work across India and in Jammu and Kashmir. “People now understand that if there is real development, it can only be delivered by the BJP,” she said.
Responding to comments that the BJP is not allowing the J&K government to function, Andrabi dismissed the claim. “They have the capability and the resources, so why shouldn’t we let them work? The truth is they simply don’t want to. They have made hollow promises that lead nowhere,” she said.
Andrabi aslo said that BJP believes in action, not excuses. “You can see our performance even while in opposition. Our Leader of the Opposition works day and night. Our MLAs are working tirelessly wherever they have been elected,” Andrabi said.
The people are satisfied with the BJP’s performance and trust the party to continue delivering on its development promises, she added.(KNS)
