Marking the beginning of the winter plantation season, the PCCF launched a plantation drive in Compartment S-8b aimed at further restoring degraded forest areas and enhancing the region’s green cover.

Later, Gupta inspected the functioning of the Forest Protection Force (FPF) Gamma Unit K-03 to assess preparedness and operational efficiency.

He was accompanied by Irfan Rasool Wani, IFS, Chief Conservator of Forests, Kashmir; Syed Wasim, Divisional Forest Officer, Pir Panjal Budgam; and Muhammad Sarwar Shah, Deputy Director, Forest Protection Force, along with Range Officers and Assistant Directors of the Forest Department.
