Sopore, November 21 : Residents of Zaloora village in North Kashmir’s Sopore have voiced concern over repeated power cuts that disrupt daily life.

Reports reaching Kashmir News Service (KNS), say the outages occur without any schedule. Locals say the long gaps in supply create problems for households. They also question why bills arrive on time when electricity remains unavailable.

Abdul Gani Mir said families have relied on candles for many days because the supply does not return. He added that the department has not acted on repeated complaints.

Shakeela Begum said people walk through their homes with candles at night.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelShe added that the situation has pushed daily routines into darkness.

We’ve been without electricity for 10 days, How long will Zaloora Zaingeer suffer in darkness?” says Ghulam Ahmad Lone X – Vice BDC.

While contacting Exen PDD, he said that the outage in the area was caused by a damaged transformer at their receiving station.

The new transformer is expected to be installed within a week, which will resolve the issue and meet the demand within that timeframe, he added.(KNS)
