DGP Reviews Security Wing, Inaugurates New Training Hall at Sidhra

Jammu Nov 22: The Director General of Police (DGP), Jammu and Kashmir, Nalin Prabhat, on Tuesday visited the J&K Police Security Wing Headquarters at Sidhra, Jammu, and reviewed its functioning. During the visit, he inaugurated the newly renovated Conference-cum-Training Hall, calling it an important step towards improving training facilities and operational readiness.
After the inauguration, a detailed review meeting was held in which the IGP Security, Sujit Kumar Singh, gave a complete briefing on the working, responsibilities, and ongoing activities of the Security Wing. The discussion focused on strengthening skills, improving coordination, and upgrading support systems for better performance.

The DGP appreciated the efforts of the Security Wing in conducting regular refresher training courses to keep personnel alert, skilled, and well-prepared.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe also directed the Security Transport Workshop to ensure timely servicing and repair of escort vehicles, stressing that well-maintained vehicles are essential for strong and effective security duties.

The meeting was attended by senior officers including ADGP Headquarters M.K. Sinha, ADGP Armed Anand Jain, IGP Jammu B.S. Tuti, IGP Railways Vivek Gupta, and IGP Traffic Sulaiman Salaria, along with other officials.

The visit highlighted the commitment of the J&K Police to further strengthen security arrangements and improve operational efficiency, with the aim of ensuring safety and protection for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
