Anantnag, Jan 5 : Chairperson, J&K Waqf Board, Syed Dr. Syed Darakhshan Andrabi (Minister of State), today visited Aasar-e-Shareef Kabamarg in Anantnag and paid obeisance at the famous shrine.

Dr Andrabi participated in a significant inauguration event and was accompanied by Waqf Board officers and engineers in the presence of local people. She inaugurated the newly constructed Administrative Block and the Ornamental Aluminum Composite Panel (OACP) Dome of the Ziyarat. The Waqf Chairperson also inaugurated the upgradation works of the Grand Masjid at the shrine.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Darakhshan said that the Waqf Board is committed to the continuous development of the Kabamarg shrine and all shrines under the Board across Jammu and Kashmir.

Later, Dr Andrabi paid obeisance at the shrine of Syed Ahmad Kirmani (RA) at Movera, Pahalgam, and prayed for the welfare and peace of all.

Sharing her views with the media, Andrabi said that dedicated service coupled with a clear vision leads to the desired outcomes. “Innovative and sustainable technologies are being used in our projects. We ensure quality infrastructural development, completed through a strict work calendar in both divisions of J&K. Transparency and accountability guide our infrastructure initiatives,” she said.

Dr Andrabi further stated that over the past three years, the Waqf Board has facelifted the shrine and upgraded facilities for devotees through the construction of sanitary facilities, pathways, Masjid upgradation, food distribution beats, and other allied works.
