Srinagar, Feb 9 : A weak Western Disturbance is likely to affect Jammu and Kashmir on February 10, bringing light rain or snow at many places and moderate precipitation at isolated locations, meteorological officials said.

Another weak Western Disturbance is expected around February 17, they added. A brief spell of rain or snow may also occur over some higher reaches on February 14. Officials said any changes in the system’s intensity or track would be updated accordingly.

Beyond these systems, no major rain or snowfall activity is expected for the rest of February, raising concerns over a possible significant rainfall deficit for the month.

Meteorologists said prolonged dry conditions may also trigger early blooming of trees in the region.(KNS).
