JAMMU, Mar 7 : On the eve of International Women’s Day, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha extended his greetings to the women of the Union Territory, lauding them as vital partners in the region’s development journey.

In his message here on Saturday, the LG asserted that women’s empowerment is the strongest catalyst for development and poverty eradication. He highlighted the “steadfast commitment and unwavering drive” of women in shaping the future of the UT and the nation.

“I trust this occasion will inspire them to step forward as vital partners in the country’s development journey,” the Lt Governor stated.

Sinha observed that countless talented women from J&K are excelling in their respective fields, poised to help build a peaceful and prosperous Jammu Kashmir. He called on the occasion to serve as a vital moment to reaffirm the dedication to upholding women’s rights, ensuring justice, and safeguarding their security.

“Let us unite in building a society where women enjoy equal chances, advancing and thriving through their true potential,” he added, extending his best wishes for a successful observance of the day. (KNS)
