Srinagar, Jun 3: The government on Wednesday clarified that entry to Dachigam National Park remains open to visitors and no restrictions have been imposed on public access to the protected area.

The clarification came in response to reports circulating on social media claiming that entry to the national park was not permitted on June 3.

Officials said all visitors can enter the park as per the usual procedure and that there has been no government order restricting access.

“The entry for all visitors to Dachigam National Park remains completely open as per the usual procedure. No restrictions have been imposed by the government regarding entry to the park for today,” an official statement said.

The authorities advised the public not to pay heed to unverified reports and to follow standard protocols during their visit to the park.(KNS)
