Srinagar, Sep 17 : Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday launched a service program aimed at providing free medical care and treatment to women across the Union Territory.

Speaking to media persons, Sinha said the program, titled Healthy Women, Healthy Families, begins on the Prime Minister’s birthday, September 17, and is part of a 15-day initiative. “The program has started today, and the panchayat will run it at the block level in both urban and rural areas,” he said as per KNS.

He added that the Jammu and Kashmir administration has prepared a comprehensive plan to implement the initiative. “I believe that we will be successful in achieving this goal,” Sinha said.
The program aims to improve women’s health and, in turn, strengthen family wellbeing across Jammu and Kashmir.(KNS).
