Lolab, Oct 06 : The second day of the Kilo North Kashmir Cricket League produced two absorbing group-stage contests at the Chandigam Cricket Ground here on Tuesday, with Pathan Panthers Lolab and Friends XI Lolab emerging victorious in their respective fixtures.
In the day’s opening encounter, Pathan Panthers Lolab extended their winning run with a five-wicket defeat of Rising Star Tarich. A composed all-round effort saw the Panthers register their second successive victory of the tournament. Sheikh Junaid was declared Man of the Match for his decisive contribution.
The second fixture witnessed a commanding display from Friends XI Lolab, who chased down the target with ease to hand Young Boys Saloosa an emphatic eight-wicket defeat. Nasir Ganae was named Man of the Match for his standout performance.
Both matches showcased competitive cricket and brought emerging local talent to the fore, even as a sizeable turnout of spectators lent a lively atmosphere to the venue.
With the group stage now gathering pace, the second edition of the Kilo North Kashmir Cricket League is expected to throw up more closely fought contests as teams jostle for a place in the knockout stages. (KNS)
