Baramulla, June 30 : Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Cooperatives, and Elections, Javed Ahmad Dar on Monday inaugurated the JKSRTC bus service from Zaloora to Srinagar via Harwan and Tujar.

Speaking at the inaugural event, the minister said the new bus service would provide much-needed relief to the local population by improving connectivity with nearby towns and the capital city. “This service was a long-pending demand of the people, and today we have fulfilled it,” he said.

Highlighting development work underway in the region, Minister Dar stated, “Some people say nothing is happening, but the truth is that roads, electricity, and irrigation projects are already in progress. The tendering process is nearly complete, and work will begin soon.”

He urged people to stay hopeful and trust the government’s efforts. “This is democracy, and we are working with people on the ground. I request citizens to be patient and have faith in the system,” he added.

Taking a dig at the opposition, the minister remarked, “When there was no government, people had no one to hear their problems. Now that the government is active and working at the grassroots, the opposition falsely claims nothing is being done.”

The newly launched bus service is expected to ease travel for daily commuters, boost local trade, and improve access to essential services in Srinagar.(KNS)
