Srinagar, Apr 10 : An eight-year-old girl died after being attacked by a stray dog in the Seloo area of Sopore district on Friday, officials said.
The deceased has been identified as Aiman Adnan Sheikh, daughter of Adnan Ahmad Sheikh, a resident of Seloo, they said.
Officials said the minor had gone to her land when she was attacked by the stray dog, resulting in serious injuries. She later succumbed to her injuries.
Cognizance of the incident has been taken and further investigation initiated, they added. (KNS)
