Jammu, Dec 29 : Dense fog enveloped several parts of the Jammu region on Monday morning, severely affecting vehicular movement as visibility dropped to a few metres, officials said

As per details available with KNS, the fog set in during the early morning hours, causing difficulties for commuters and motorists on major roads, including highways and city routes.

Drivers were seen using headlights and hazard lights while moving at slow speeds due to poor visibility.

Officials said there were no immediate reports of major accidents, but traffic flow remained slow at several places. Commuters faced delays as vehicles moved cautiously amid near-zero visibility conditions.

The weather department said foggy conditions are common during winter mornings in the region and advised motorists to exercise caution while driving, especially during early hours.

Authorities have urged drivers to follow traffic advisories, maintain safe distances, and avoid unnecessary travel until visibility improves.(KNS).
