Over 1,000 Devotees Embark on Budhha Amarnath Yatra: LG Manoj Sinha

Jammu, July 28 : Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday flagged off the first batch of more than 1,000 pilgrims for the Shri Budhha Amarnath Ji Yatra 2025 (BANJY-25) from Yatri Niwas, Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu, officially marking the start of this year’s pilgrimage.

The ceremony, held at 6:26 a.m., was attended by Union Minister Keshav Raju, Sangathan Minister (Central India) Surinder, and senior officers, including Divisional Commissioner Ramesh Kumar (IAS), IGP Jammu Bhim Sen Tuti (IPS), DIG Jammu Shiv Kumar (IPS), and senior CRPF and police officials

LG Sinha said the Yatra symbolizes faith and unity, adding, “Pilgrims from across the country are participating in this sacred journey. Over 3.77 lakh devotees have already completed the Amarnath Yatra. I thank the J&K administration and security agencies for ensuring the safety and comfort of all yatris.”(KNS)
