Jammu, Mar 28 ; Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday reassured the public that adequate stocks of petrol, diesel, LPG, and kerosene are available across Jammu and Kashmir, urging citizens not to fall prey to rumours.

Addressing reporters here after the Assembly proceedings, the Chief Minister as per news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) categorically dismissed reports of shortages as baseless, stating that the administration is maintaining a close vigil to ensure uninterrupted supplies.

“There is no shortage of anything, be it LPG, petrol, diesel, or kerosene. People should not panic,” CM Omar Abdullah said, adding that the Government of India has assured the Union Territory administration that supplies remain fully intact.

CM Omar appealed to the public to rely only on official information and refrain from panic buying, which he said could create artificial pressure on the supply chain. (KNS)
