Tangmarg, May 7 : Two illegally constructed shops on state land were demolished in Dhobiwani Kunzar village of north Kashmir’s Tangmarg area on Thursday as part of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, officials said.

An official told news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) the drive was carried out by a joint team of the civil administration and police on a plot belonging to Bashir Ahmad Malla.

The action was taken under the 100-day campaign of the anti-drug initiative, an official said, adding that such drives will continue against those involved in “wrong practices”.

The primary aim, he said, is to make Jammu and Kashmir a drug-free society. (KNS)
