Srinagar, October 16 : On the completion of one year of the National Conference (NC) government in Jammu and Kashmir, former Chief Minister and PDP President Mehbooba Mufti accused the Omar Abdullah-led government of failing to deliver on its promises and normalizing what she termed as “anti-people” decisions.

Mehbooba Mufti said that the government is silent on critical political matters, stating that key promises made during the election campaign remain unfulfilled. “The silence of the govt on crucial political issues is troubling,” she said.

Despite the rhetoric of change and justice during the election campaign, the decisions perceived as anti-people and abnormal have not only persisted but have been normalized, she added.

Taking to X, she posted, “One year into NC’s tenure, the ground reality is far from what was expected. Despite the rhetoric of change & justice during the election campaign, the decisions perceived as anti-people & abnormal have not only persisted but have been normalized.” (KNS)
