Srinagar March 14 : Director Tourism Kashmir Peerzada Qamar Sajad on Saturday said the opening of Badamwari and the scheduled opening of the Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden on Monday send a strong and positive message to tourists across the country and the world.

Badamwari garden was thrown open to the public earlier in the day by Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, marking the arrival of the spring season in the valley.

Sajad said the developments create encouraging vibes for the tourism sector and reflect the beginning of a vibrant season in Kashmir.

He said the tulip garden, known as Asia’s largest, will welcome visitors from Monday and is expected to attract a large number of tourists during the bloom period.

“The exhibition of colorful flowers and the grandeur of different varieties add to the glamour of the tourism world,” Sajad said, adding that the coming days are expected to bring prosperity and happiness for the tourism industry in Jammu and Kashmir.(KNS)
