Kulgam, August 01 : Director General of Police, J&K, Nalin Prabhat, visited Kulgam on Thursday to assess the security situation and conduct an operational review with senior police and Army officers, including the GOC Victor Force and IGP Kashmir Zone V.K. Birdi.
During the meeting, SSP Kulgam presented a detailed briefing on the current security preparedness and ongoing operations in the district.
The DGP stressed the need to reassess existing strategies and recalibrate counter-terror operations, specifically targeting Pakistani terrorists operating in the region.He urged officers to stay alert and proactive in maintaining peace and public safety.
Following the review, the DGP also visited several areas including DH Pora, Devsar, and Kund to get a first-hand assessment of the ground situation.(KNS)
