Baramulla, Apr 23 : In a bid to strengthen the fight against drug trafficking, the district police in Baramulla has launched an anonymous anti-drug tip line, officials said on Thursday.

An official told news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) the helpline number — 95967-67701 — is under the personal custody of the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Baramulla.

Police said any person having information related to narcotics can share it directly on this number without disclosing their identity.

“Appropriate action will be taken on every input received,” a police officer said, urging citizens to come forward and cooperate in making the district drug-free.

The initiative is part of a broader crackdown on the drug network operating in north Kashmir he added. (KNS)
