New Delhi, Jan 29 : The Haj Committee of India (HCoI) on Thursday rolled out a new self-service online portal for Haj-2026 pilgrims to book their own flight tickets, marking a shift towards digitization and passenger choice in the pilgrimage process.

Official sources told news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) said the same facility, announced through a circular, allows pilgrims to directly select and confirm their flights via the dedicated pilgrim login on the HCoI website and the ‘Haj Suvidha’ mobile application. The time-bound booking window is open for four days starting today.

Officials said this optional initiative aims to provide flexibility, enabling pilgrims to choose preferred travel schedules within the limits of available seats and airline operations.

He, however said the Committee has issued a clear advisory those who do not utilize this self-booking option within the stipulated period will be automatically allotted flights by the HCoI, with no scope for accommodating individual preferences on date or carrier.

He said all State Haj Committees have been directed to ensure extensive publicity for this new facility and to assist pilgrims in navigating the online process.

For real-time updates, pilgrims are encouraged to join the official Haj Committee WhatsApp channel he added. (KNS)
