SRINAGAR, April 14 : The Jammu and Kashmir Hajj Committee has scheduled the first departure for Hajj 2026 from Srinagar on April 18, issuing fixed reporting windows for pilgrims to streamline the annual exercise.

Three flights will operate on the opening day from the embarkation point at Haj House, Bemina. Pilgrims have been allotted strict time slots — 6:00-6:30 AM for flight QP-7521, 8:15-8:45 AM for QP-7520, and 9:00-9:30 AM for QP-7519.

A senior Hajj House officer told News Agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) no exceptions will be entertained, and pilgrims have been advised to stick to their assigned slots. The staggered reporting, he added, is designed to prevent overcrowding and ensure smooth check-in.

Pilgrims must carry original passports, visa copies, and valid health and vaccination certificates. Only standard baggage as per airline norms will be allowed, with a clear ban on prohibited or restricted items.

Schedules for subsequent batches will be issued separately, the officer said. (KNS)
