Srinagar, Nov 3 : Union Home Minister Amit Shah has warned Pakistan-based terrorists against repeating any attack on India, saying that any such act will be met with a powerful response. “If they fire bullets, they will face cannons,” Shah declared while addressing an election rally in Darbhanga-Motihari, Bihar.

Shah said that terrorists from Pakistan had attacked civilians in Pahalgam, erasing the sindoor from the foreheads of India’s mothers and sisters. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched ‘Operation Sindoor’ within 20 days to avenge that attack. The Indian Army neutralised the terrorists on Pakistani soil,” he added.

He announced that the Defence Corridor being developed in Bihar will produce weapons and ammunition that will be used against such terrorists.

Criticising the previous Congress government, Shah said that the Modi administration is fully committed to India’s security and sovereignty. He also hit out at RJD leaders Lalu Prasad Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav for allegedly glorifying the late gangster-turned-politician Mohammad Shahabuddin, saying that the people of Bihar will never allow the return of “jungle raj.”

Appealing to voters to support the BJP, Shah promised that if the NDA retains power in Bihar, every district will get one medical and one engineering college within five years. He also announced Rs 26,000 crore for irrigation and flood control projects using the Koshi river.

Highlighting the progress under Modi and Nitish Kumar, Shah said 423 companies have committed Rs 1.80 lakh crore in investments in Bihar. A new airport at Raxaul and an auditorium in Motihari have also been approved.

From Mahatma Gandhi’s karma bhumi Champaran, Shah vowed that Naxalism will be completely eliminated from India by March 31, 2026. (KNS)
