J&K Government Transfers Seven IAS Officers

Jammu, July 12 : In a significant administrative reshuffle aimed at enhancing governance and streamlining public service delivery, the Jammu and Kashmir administration on Saturday announced a series of high-level IAS transfers and postings with immediate effect.

The move impacts several senior officers from the AGMUT cadre, bringing notable changes to key departments including Tourism, Public Works, Youth Services, Social Welfare, and Planning. Dr. Ashish Chandra Verma Appointed Financial Commissioner, Tourism Dr. Ashish Chandra Verma, IAS (AGMUT:1994), who was awaiting a posting in the General Administration Department, has been appointed as the Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary) of the Tourism Department. In addition, Dr. Verma will also oversee the Planning, Development and Monitoring Department as Administrative Secretary, holding both responsibilities concurrently until further orders.

Anil Kumar Singh to Head Public Works Department Anil Kumar Singh, IAS (AGMUT:1995), currently serving as Principal Secretary, Social Welfare Department, and holding the additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Mining Department, has been transferred to the Public Works (R&B) Department as Principal Secretary. He will, however, retain the Mining portfolio as an additional charge. **Key Shifts in Youth Services, Social Welfare, and Tourism** In a departmental exchange, Ms.Yasha Mudgal, IAS (AGMUT:2007), Commissioner/Secretary, Tourism, has been moved to the Youth Services and Sports Department in the same capacity. Meanwhile, Sarmad Hafeez, IAS (AGMUT:2009), currently serving in Youth Services, takes over Mudgal’s previous role as Commissioner/Secretary, Social Welfare Department.

Talat Parvez Rohella Takes Charge as BPE Chairman Talat Parvez Rohella, IAS (AGMUT:2010), formerly Secretary, Planning, Development and Monitoring Department, has been appointed as Chairman of the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE), J&K.

Bhupinder Kumar Posted as Resident Commissioner, Delhi** In a strategic placement, Sh. Bhupinder Kumar, IAS (AGMUT:2011), Secretary, Public Works (R&B) Department, who was juggling several key responsibilities, including Director of Census Operations and Resident Commissioner, New Delhi, has now been officially posted as Resident Commissioner, J&K Government, New Delhi. He will continue to hold the additional charges of Hospitality and Protocol Department and Census Operations for J&K and Ladakh UTs.

Ananth Dwivedi Gets Additional Revenue Department Charge. Ananth Dwivedi, IAS (AGMUT:2021), CEO of the State Health Agency, J&K, and Mission Director, Ayushman Bharat Digital Health Mission, has now been given an additional role as Additional Secretary in the Revenue Department. (KNS)
