JAMMU, FEB 25 : The Jammu and Kashmir government has established helpline numbers to assist Union Territory residents returning from Iran, officials said on Wednesday.

The move follows an advisory issued by the Indian Embassy in Tehran on February 23, 2026, regarding the return of Indian nationals.

An official told news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS), the 24×7 helplines are operational to provide necessary support and coordination to those in need.

The helpline numbers include the ‘Hello J&K’ service at 7303620090. Two control room numbers have also been activated at the Resident Commissioner’s office in New Delhi: 011-24611108 and 011-24611210.

Officials stated that these lines are intended to assist with logistics and coordination for residents of the Union Territory currently in Iran or those in the process of returning. (KNS)
