Srinagar, Sep 05 : Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday extended heartfelt greetings to the teaching fraternity on the occasion of Teachers’ Day, paying rich tributes to the visionary educationist and former President Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan on his birth anniversary.
In his message, the Lt Governor hailed Dr Radhakrishnan’s exemplary life and philosophical contributions, stating that his work continues to serve as a “guiding light” for generations. “Heartiest greetings to all teachers. Their dedication in shaping the future of our nation is unparalleled,” the LG said in an official communiqué.
The Chief Minister, in his address, lauded the selfless service of educators in moulding young minds and strengthening the nation’s foundation. Reaffirming the Union Territory administration’s commitment to educational reforms, the CM emphasised that empowering teachers remains a top priority to enable them to inspire and guide the youth towards a brighter future.
