Srinagar, Apr 15 : The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has invited Mohammad Rafi (JKAS Retd.), former Director of School Education, for a two-day consultative meeting to frame bylaws for the J&K State School Standards Authority (SSSA).

An official told news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS), the meeting is scheduled for April 15 and 16 at the JKBOSE headquarters in Bemina, Srinagar.

He said JKBOSE has been designated as the SSSA for the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, entrusting it with the mandate to develop, operationalise, and oversee a framework of school standards to ensure transparency, accountability, and quality in school education.

“The meeting will deliberate upon key regulatory provisions, align them with national policy directives, and contextualise them to the specific educational landscape of the Union Territory,” the official said.

Muhammad Rafi has been requested to attend the meeting given his “distinguished expertise, extensive experience and key leadership roles” in the education field.

The detailed agenda and background documents shall be shared in due course the official further said. (KNS)
