Srinagar, Nov 2 : Chairman of the Nigeen Lake Water Conservation Organization (NLWCO), Manzoor Wangnoo, praised the Department of Tourism for successfully organizing the Kashmir Marathon, calling it a symbol of peace and progress in the Valley.

Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Wangnoo commended the department for managing the event “in a magnificent manner,” noting the participation of thousands of runners from the starting point up to Hazratbal. He described the marathon as “well-organized and impressive,” reflecting a growing sense of unity and optimism in Kashmir.

He added that the event sent “a very positive message” that Kashmir is moving in a new and promising direction. Referring to recent challenges following the post-pilgrimage incident, Wangnoo said the smooth and energetic execution of the marathon was “truly encouraging.”

He congratulated the Department of Tourism, local stakeholders, and the broader tourism community for “hosting the event so beautifully,” adding that the marathon shows “Kashmir is calling you, and Kashmir is peaceful.”(KNS)
