Srinagar, July 22: The University of Kashmir on Wednesday announced the postponement of all examinations scheduled for July 23, citing the prevailing inclement weather conditions across the valley.
An official notification issued by the Office of the Controller of Examinations stated that all papers slated for Thursday stand deferred as a precautionary measure in view of the adverse weather forecast.
“The revised dates for the conduct of the postponed examinations and papers will be notified separately in due course,” the notification read, urging students to stay updated through the university’s official channels.
The decision comes as the meteorological department predicted further deterioration in weather conditions, prompting the varsity to err on the side of caution to ensure the safety and convenience of the student community. (KNS).
