LG Sinha meets families of Nowgam blast martyrs, hands over appointment letters

Srinagar, Dec 12 (TKM): Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday met the families of the martyrs of the accidental blast in Nowgam and handed over appointment letters on compassionate grounds.

The Lieutenant Governor paid tribute to the martyrs and expressed gratitude to their families, saying the entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with them to ensure a life of comfort and dignity.

He said the country is proud of J&K Police for stopping terror in its tracks by unearthing and dismantling a terror network last month. The Lieutenant Governor appreciated the police for their meticulous investigation and multi-faceted efforts to detect, disrupt, and prevent terrorist acts.

Sinha also directed senior officers to disrupt terrorist financing pipelines and effectively counter radicalisation attempts by certain separatist elements.

The meeting was attended by senior officials, including Special DG Coordination PHQ S.J.M. Gillani, Principal Secretary Home Chandraker Bharti, ADGP CID Nitish Kumar, Principal Secretary to the LG Dr. Mandeep K. Bhandari, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Anshul Garg, IGP Kashmir V.K. Birdi, DIG CKR Rajiv Pandey, SSP Srinagar Dr. G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Akshay Labroo, and other senior officials of police and civil administration.(TKM).
