Srinagar, Mar 30 : Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday ordered the suspension of Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Anantnag, Sundeep Singh Bali (JKAS), with immediate effect, pending an inquiry into his conduct.

The action has been taken under Rule 31 of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956, according to a government order issued by the General Administration Department (GAD).

During the period of suspension, the officer has been attached to the office of the Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, the order stated accessed news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS).

The decision was issued with the approval of the Lieutenant Governor. Further details regarding the nature of the inquiry were not immediately disclosed. (KNS)
