‎
‎Srinagar, Sep 12 : National Conference MP Mian Altaf Ahmad has voiced dissatisfaction over the prevailing political situation in Jammu and Kashmir, saying people are angry over the denial of their political rights and that the government needs to do more to address their day-to-day concerns.

‎Speaking to reporters, Altaf said the political situation in J&K remained uncertain and that “no one is satisfied with it”, including him. He called for efforts to meet people’s expectations and said the government must pay particular attention to issues such as unemployment and infrastructure.
‎
‎“The government should also try to meet the expectations, especially in terms of unemployment,” the NC MP said.
‎
‎Significantly, Altaf also pointed to problems in his own parliamentary constituency of Rajouri-Poonch, where he said several sectors required urgent attention.
‎
‎“There are a lot of problems in terms of the health sector, PHE, PWD. We need to pay attention to those areas,” he said.
‎
‎Altaf also said that people in J&K are deprived of their political rights and that this had contributed to public anger.
‎
‎He said stability was a common expectation across Jammu and Kashmir and maintained that the government should work towards providing people the benefits and rights they are entitled to.(KNS)
