Man dies after fall from walnut tree in Kupwara

Kupwara, Sept 14 : A tragic incident was reported on Sunday in the Muqami Shahwali area of Drugmulla, Kupwara district, where a local resident lost his life after falling from a walnut tree.

According to reports received by Kashmir News Service (KNS), the deceased has been identified as Mohammad Akbar Mir, son of Ghulam Nabi Mir, a resident of Muqami Shahwali. He reportedly slipped and fell while harvesting walnuts, sustaining critical injuries.

He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital by local residents; however, doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated the necessary legal proceedings.(KNS)
