Jammu, July 27 : The strategic Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) was blocked on Monday at Dewal in Udhampur district following a landslide, officials said.
Authorities confirmed that restoration work is underway to clear the carriageway. However, commuters have been advised to avoid travel on this segment as the risk of further slides and shooting stones persists. The highway is a known landslide-prone corridor, and this stretch has witnessed frequent disruptions in the past .
