Srinagar, June 17 (TKM): The Jammu and Kashmir Home Department, under the directive of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, has declared all routes of the upcoming Shri Amarnathji Yatra 2025 as “No Flying Zones” from July 1 to August 10, 2025.

An official order accessed by TKM states that the decision follows security reviews and consultations with multiple stakeholders, including the Ministry of Home Affairs. The annual pilgrimage is scheduled to take place from July 3 to August 9, 2025.

To ensure the smooth and secure conduct of the Yatra, aerial activity—including drones, UAVs, balloons, and other flying devices—will be strictly prohibited along both the Pahalgam and Baltal routes.

However, exceptions will be made for medical evacuations, disaster response, and official surveillance by security forces. A detailed Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for these exceptions will be issued soon.

Officials have assured that all security measures are being put in place for the peaceful conduct of the Yatra. LG Manoj Sinha has called for public cooperation, emphasizing that the Amarnath Yatra is a “Yatra of the people.”
