Srinagar, Apr 2 : Omar Abdullah on Thursday said international developments are beyond the control of both the Union Territory and the country, but asserted that the situation in Jammu and Kashmir will mirror that of the rest of India.

He said the availability of essential supplies and fuel remains stable for now, with stocks sufficient for the next 10 to 15 days.

“If the situation prolongs and shortages arise in the country, it will have an impact here as well,” Abdullah said.
He, however, said there was no immediate cause for concern over the next few weeks.

Referring to a recent meeting convened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the chief minister said assurances have been given that supplies will be maintained through various means.

Abdullah added that the public will be informed in case of any change in the situation.(KNS).
