Jammu, Apr 12 : Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) National General Secretary Tarun Chugh on Sunday asserted that ‘Operation Sindoor’ has redefined India’s military posture, claiming that the country’s women officers are now capable of destroying Pakistani missiles at will.

Addressing a party programme here, Tarun Chugh as per news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) described the operation as a historic shift where women are no longer just beneficiaries but active combatants and decision-makers in national security.

“Behind Operation Sindoor, Prime Minister Narendra Modi started the operation by keeping the sindoor of the daughters in front. And he made Pakistan’s teeth sour,” BJP senior leader said.

He claimed that India demonstrated during the operation that its women officers are capable of live-war reporting and strategic deterrence. “In this operation Sindoor, we proved that now the daughter of India will tell the world about this war live,” the BJP leader said.

Taking a sharp dig at Pakistan, Tarun Chugh added, “In Pakistan, whether they are in Bahawalpur, Lahore or Karachi, they are aiming at the missiles of India. When we want, we will destroy it. And we proved it.”

The BJP general secretary linked the operation to the government’s broader push for women’s empowerment, from the ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ initiative to reservation in legislatures. He stated that daughters are now becoming commissioned officers, standing on the borders, and will soon sit in Parliament.

“This is a golden opportunity. In the upcoming elections in 2029, the daughters will sit in the Parliament of India and will be a part of the decisions,” Tarun Chugh said.

He further claimed that Prime Minister Modi is giving “100 per cent rights to 50 per cent of the population” and that the ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam’ will ensure women’s participation in the country’s largest panchayat and the Constitution.

“In India, the daughters have proved their strength. Wherever the daughter goes, she becomes the best,” Tarun Chugh added. (KNS)
